‼️Before you begin setting up the internet connection, you need to be connected to the internet. We recommend using the HSBO_Gast Wi-Fi network provided by the university.

ℹ️If you are not yet connected to HSBO_Gast, we also have a guide for this on our website.

➡️If you are connected to the HSBO_Gast Wi-Fi network, open a browser of your choice, go to https://cat.eduroam.org, and click the large blue button.

☑️Now download the eduroam client and launch it.

➡️Click “Next” until you reach the user credentials section. Enter your Hochschul username (remember to add @hs-bochum.de at the end) and your initial password.

ℹ️This allows the system to verify whether you are authorized to use eduroam.

✅Once you have successfully entered your credentials, eduroam will be installed automatically. Once the installation is complete, you can use eduroam to access the internet.
